Clear Springs
Log Cabin

Photos | Availability
History, romance, quiet and adventure are requirements
when staying at this special log cabin. Arroweads dating back 5000 years
have been found on the property. The log portion of the home was built
in the 1850’s and even has a display of the original mortar used
in the building of the cabin. The rock kitchen and bedroom were added
at later dates. Your hosts added the bathroom. Although the log cabin
was home to early settlers, the past 50 plus years it has been used
as a working barn. Your hosts and their family worked for three years
to make the guest house the special place it is today.
Behind the house is a picnic table, a swing and a chiminea
with a grill. An adjoining undeveloped part of the structure has a display
of antique tools. A clawfoot bathtub that really works—(cold water
only) stands in the area which was used for horse stalls.
If you like to fishing bring your pole! A pond is located
within walking distance of the guest house and you are welcome to try
your luck at fishing. This is a working ranch, but you are welcome to
walk in the fenced areas or along the road and enjoy nature at its best.
Hunting season begins the first weekend in November until
the middle of January—this is an important time to be very, very
careful!

Country Quiet
Guesthouse

Country Quiet Guesthouse is an early 1900s country
farmhouse and was the home of the host’s great grandparents. Only
three miles from Main Street, large pecan trees and flowers surround
the home, and the Pedernales River flows nearby!
Outside, relax in the hot tub next to the screen porch
or hike the trails to the Pedernales River. Bring your fishing equipment
to fish during your visit. You may also enjoy barbecuing under the huge
oak tree or have a picnic on the table provided for you, or just relax
in the swing under the tree.
Country Quiet Guesthouse is within one mile of Lady
Bird Municipal Park, the golf course, the fairgrounds and the airport.
The land, the home, the photos and memorabilia are your hosts’
ties to the past, and they invite guests to enjoy them during their
visit.
